Our aim is to offer a comprehensive service to our customers for a fair price.

Harish Madhani started his business in 1990 as a mobile mechanic but demand for his services dictated that he had to acquire premises to cope with the high volume of business. That was in 1995. By 2003, Harish’s Auto Services needed to find more space to accommodate their growing business and moved next door to larger premises with 12 service ramps including 2 MOT testing bays.

In 2015 after becoming dismayed with London’s rising costs, Harish moved to Welwyn Garden City under the same name of Harish’s Auto Services Ltd, but changed the trading name to reflect the move to a new area.

We are very proud of our new auto centre which allows us to deal with most makes of modern vehicles and systems, including general servicing/repairs, tyres, exhausts, batteries, four-wheel alignment, diagnostics and MOTs.

Our courteous staff are highly experience and always developing their knowledge . Our attention to detail together with personal service enables us to provide you with a service second to none.

All our work is guaranteed for parts and labour.

Female Friendly
As an established business owner with a large number of female customers, Harish is particularly sensitive to their needs.

Welwyn Auto Centre periodically holds women-only days where we teach the techniques of basic car maintenance. The day includes refreshments.

About Harish

As a garage owner, Harish is a member of the RMI / IGA. As an active member, he regularly promotes the views of the independent garage.

In addition to this:

  • Harish sits on the panel of IGA Executive Committee (Independent Garage Association) – The IGA promotes the interests of independent garages and advises them on the new technology required to maintain the latest cars.
  • Harish sat on the panel of Unipart in the London area and promoted the views of the independent garages in that region.
  • His previous work has included travelling to Brussels on behalf of the Independent Garage Association to observe EU plans for franchise dealers.
  • Harish was awarded Fellowship of the IMI (Institute of Motor Industry), their highest level of recognition. The IMI is the professional association for individuals working in the motor industry. There are 25,000 individual IMI members, from across all areas of the motor industry, who are recognised for their skills and experience. IMI Membership is awarded on the basis of an individual’s qualifications, career history and motor industry experience.

We are subscribed to the National Conciliation Service (NCS)

The National Conciliation Service (NCS) is the UK’s certified automotive retail Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. Should we fall short of your expectations and are not able to resolve the issue internally, as one of our customers you are able to use the NCS.

The NCS has been certified by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (TSI) as compliant with UK and EU regulations in respect of ADR.
